Do you Know How We Make Solar Roof Hooks ?
Many of you have intimate contacts with solar mounting roof hooks, maybe you're an installer, an engineer, a designer, or even a homeowner curious about the producing process.There are kinds of roof hooks on the market for installers to choose from,such as Tile Hook,Metal Roof Hook, the Tile Hook is one of the most common.

Step 1: Source and Select Materials
The first step is to source the materials. For manufacturing steel roof hooks that meet high standards we need to find super steel. Steel is sourced in a few different forms, plates being common. We can choose from a variety of plate thicknesses to cut into. But since two years ago,we add 3 production lines which use steel coil.
When our clients send us drawings,then we know how thick the hooks should be.Why is it important?
Good thick steel will produce good thick steel roof hooks. It's important to select high quality materials and thick steel to make for great hooks.
Those plates seen above will go into a machine to make them into multiple strips.
Step 2: Chop It Up
Once we confirm the request plate and thickness, the steels are sent to machines to cut to arm plates and base plates.
Workers will sort out the plates after the machines do the cutting. One pallet for base plates, one pallet for arm plates. Those two pieces are the essential components to assemble to be solar roof hooks.
Step 3: Punch It
The third step comes to hole punching. Arm plates and base plates each get their own predetermined set of holes punched for specific hooks.
Usually we would suggest our clients to make solar roof hooks with larger slots than common so there is room for adjustment according to our experiences. An extra bit of room makes installer’s jobs much easier on the roof.
We produce kinds of roof hooks for flat tile, curved tile, stone-coated steel roofs and metal roofs. For our standard solar roof hooks,we widened the slots as far as possible and we usually suggest our clients do it too,aim to make installer’s job to be much easier.
Step 4: Make it Shiny
After punching holes and slots into the plates, it's time to make them without burrs. We pass them over to the grinders/sanders to remove all burrs created in the punching process.
Rough and sharp edges make for a pretty terrible time on the roof. We know cutting Installer’s hands happened often, so we take care to smooth the edges of the steel.
Step 5: Bending to Get Perfect Angle
This step is to get a desired angle.,we bend each respective hook into shape. With the wide variety of hooks we produce there comes variation in all of the angles but they are generally accomplished with the same method.
Step 6: Welding
Weld the base plate and arm plates together for fixed height roof hooks. How it works?It bonds the two metal components together through high temperature.At this step,workers technical is key point,all our welding workers with more than 3 years welding experiences and welding certificates are necessary to employ.
Step 7: Shot Blasting
Here we put the hooks to shot blasting machines to provide a final round of smooth finish.
The product is silky smooth metal hooks. No burrs, smooth edges, and easy to grip in the hands. Nice appearance is also our philosophy.
Step 8: Pre-assemble for Installers
For Adjustable hooks,we make sure to have them preassembled so parts would not fly around your boxes. This step save installer’s time at site,make their job much easier.
Step 9:Quality Inspection
All the hooks have inspected before shipping to keep our customers complaint-free.
Here we have standardized quality control checks to ensure hooks are bent according to the proper angles and dimensions, and that pieces withstand their intended application tolerances on the roof.
Step 10:Packing
This final step is where we package the hooks and ship them out. Scientific and solid packing design to make sure products to be safety during the transportation.We understand some goods would go through dozens days of marine and land transportation,so our packing principle is to make sure clients receive the goods the same as it before ship in our factory.
